Deconstructing Motion Design

Deconstructing Motion Design is a series of three explainer videos that aim to give an insight into what motion design has been, what it is now, and what it might become in the future.

Visual communication designers come from backgrounds that can be diverse, with each of us carrying our own unique skillsets, knowledge and experiences that influences our work. However, with the way technology continues to shift and evolve, it’s important for commercial designers to be have a range of skills rather than specialising in a specific space. This allows us to be more flexible and design for multiple platforms and contexts – even if we don’t know what those platforms are yet.

Through creating these videos, I hope to encourage more designers to learn about motion design, get excited about it and incorporate it into their own practice!
